Zora Byrd

Four Oaks, NC: Mrs. Zora Elizabeth West Byrd, age 92, passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Liberty Commons Nursing Rehabilitation Center in Benson, NC.  Funeral Services  will be 11:00AM-Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Four Oaks, NC.  Rev. Randy Pace will officiate.  Burial will follow in Barbour’s Chapel Advent Christian Church Cemetery outside Four Oaks, NC.   Mrs. Byrd was born on May 21, 1928 in Johnston County to the late Atlas and Martha Strickland West.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Rayford M. Byrd, son, Rev. Larry Richard “Ricky” Byrd, sisters, Cora West Barnes, and Virginia Pace, brothers, A.Z. West, Nathan West, James West, and Wilson West. Mrs. Byrd retired from the retail business and was a member of Barbour’s Chapel Advent Christian Church.  Surviving include her daughter-in-law, Susie Byrd of Four Oaks, many nieces and nephews.   Mrs. Byrd will be available for viewing and you may sign the register book from 12:00PM-5:00PM, Friday, February 12, 2021 at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks, NC.  The family will not be present during these times.  In accordance with NC-COVID-19 guidelines, the funeral home suggests practicing social distancing guidelines and the three W's: wait, wash, and wear a face covering.
