Nicole Reaves

Benson, NC:  Mrs. Nicole "Nicki" Yates Reaves, age 37, of Benson Hardee Road died Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at UNC Rex Hospital in Raleigh.  Memorial Service will be 1:00 PM Saturday, October 26, 2019 at North Henderson Baptist Church in Henderson, NC.              Mrs. Reaves was born November 28, 1981 in Martinsburg, WV to the late Robin D. Yates and Lawrence E. "Larry" Yates of Henderson, NC. She was also preceded in death by her step-mother, Emily T. Yates; paternal grandparents, Robert L. and Lucetta V. Yates; maternal grandparents, Thomas L. and Diane H. Dame; and aunt, Kimberly B. Yates.  Mrs. Reaves was a 2000 graduate of Northern Vance High School and a member of NHBC.  She had worked as a correctional officer for the NC Department of Corrections.             Surviving in addition to her father, are her husband of fifteen years, Jesse Allan Reaves of the home; daughter, Robin Reaves also of the home; step-mother, Dorothy Yates of Roxboro; step-sister, Rachel Vaughan and husband, Brent of Hickory, NC; half-brother, Jonathan Yates of  Henderson, NC; Uncle David Yates and wife, Sandy of Hedgesville, WV; Uncle Bryan Yates of Smithfield, NC; Aunt Linda Barbour and husband, Ken of Four Oaks, NC, and Aunt Stacy Jefferson and husband, Randy of Martinsburg, WV; step-grandmother, Jackie Yates of Kittrell, NC: step-grandmother, Janet Dame of Sykesville, Maryland; numerous cousins; and special pets, Lillian and Precious.             The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.             In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Breast Cancer Awareness, Susan G.
