Four Oaks, NC: Mrs. Joyce Blackmon Johnson, age 85, passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh.  A Graveside Funeral Service will be  4:00PM, Thursday, September 24, 2020 at Hills of the Neuse Memory Gardens, Smithfield, NC. Rev. Virgil Murphy will officiate.                         Mrs. Johnson was born on May 2, 1935 in Johnston County to the late Jessie and Bertie Blackmon.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Sherrill Layton Johnson, her daughters, Wanda and Teresa Johnson, sisters, Viola Turnage, Lois Browning(twin), Etheare Johnson, Rutha Johnson, Eunice Jackson, and Gladys Allen, brothers, Clifton Blackmon, Gilbert Blackmon, and R.B. Blackmon. Mrs. Johnson was a retired textile inspector and was a  homemaker.  She was a member of Johnson's Chapel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.                 Surviving include her daughter, Connie J. Lassiter and husband, Randy of Four Oaks and many nieces and nephews.                 Mrs. Johnson will be available for viewing, and you will be able to sign the register book on Thursday, September 24, 2020 from 11:00AM-3:00PM at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks. The family will not be present during this time.             Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to Johnson Chapel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, 11646 Raleigh Road Four Oaks NC 27524.                         In accordance with NC-COVID-19 guidelines, the funeral home suggests practicing social distancing guidelines and the three W's: wait, wash, and wear a face covering.  Face coverings will be required at the graveside service on Thursday.             The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers.             Arrangements by Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks, NC.
