Bobby Byrd

Angier, NC:  Mr. Bobby Dean Byrd, age 76, of Graham Pond Road, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2020 at his residence.  A Graveside Service will be held 2:00 PM, Sunday, May 31, 2020 at Johnson Memorial Church Cemetery, Angier, NC.  Revs. Brandon Teachey and Chris Searles will officiate.              Mr. Byrd was born on October 20, 1943 in Harnett County to the late Clyde Etheridge and Meta Bell Clifton Byrd.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Rex Etheridge Byrd and a sister, Vickie Bell Byrd Roberts.  Mr. Byrd retired from IBM with 30 years of service and attended Johnson Memorial Church.           Surviving include his wife of 58 years, Christine Langdon Byrd; son, Richard Dean Byrd and wife, Shawn of Angier; daughter, Kristey Carol Darroch and husband, Hank of Bunnlevel; grandchildren, Anthony Byrd and wife, Amanda, Andrew Byrd and wife, Morgan, Matthew Darroch, Ashley Darroch, and Madison Byrd; great-grandchildren, Adalyn Byrd, Austin Byrd and Aliza Byrd; several nieces and nephews.               The family will receive friends immediately following the graveside service in the fellowship hall at the church on Sunday.                          Flowers are welcomed; however, the family suggests memorials to Johnson Memorial Church Building Fund, 8280 NC HWY 50 N., Angier, NC 27501.  Condolences may be sent to the family at www.roseandgraham.com             Arrangements by Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC
