Willie Irvin Blackmon

Dunn, NC: Mr. Willie Irvin Blackmon, age 90, passed away on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at his residence. Private Services will be held.

Mr. Blackmon was born on May 8, 1931 in Johnston County to the late William and Vennie Moore Blackmon. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Kay Lassiter Blackmon and his son, Irvin Ray Blackmon. Mr. Blackmon retired from the US Army, and was very proud to have served his country. Following retirement, he owned and operated Blackmon’s Construction.

Surviving include his wife, Joyce Evans Blackmon; daughter, Glenda Blackmon and husband, Steve Padgett; brother, Melvin Blackmon and wife, Grace; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
