William Jerry Johnson

Dunn, NC: Mr. William Jerry Johnson, age 84, passed away on Friday, March 11, 2022 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC surrounded by his loving family.  Funeral Services will be 2:00PM, Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson, NC.  Rev. Roy Johnson will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery in Benson, NC.

Mr. Johnson was born on September 12, 1937 in Harnett County, NC to the late William Jasper and Ruby McLamb Johnson.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Glenda Diane Johnson and also a daughter, Baby Girl Johnson.  Mr. Johnson was the owner and operator of Johnson Better Care outside Dunn, NC, and also served our country in the US Air Force. He loved golf, boating, Myrtle Beach and telling old stories about his father and grandfather.

Surviving include his children, Jerri Johnson, and W. Jason Johnson and wife, Gillian; grandchildren, Holly Andrea Johnson, Riley Marie Johnson, Jodie Diane Johnson, Jessica Glenda Johnson and William Jasper Johnson, II; sister, Janie Mack Johnson; special dog, Jake Johnson; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 6:00PM-8:00PM, Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC and other times at the home.

Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to the Harnett County Animal Services PO Box 940 Lillington, NC 27546 or to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
