William Edward "Eddie" Fair

Benson, NC: Mr. William Edward “Eddie” Fair, age 79, passed away on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at his residence.  Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at Banner Chapel Advent Christian Church, Benson, NC. Revs. Joe Brown and Jessie Brock will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors and masonic rites.                  Mr. Fair was born on February 22, 1942 to the late Willard Jack and Mary Frances Fair. He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Edwards.  Mr. Fair retired from the US Army with 20 years of service.  Following his retirement, he enjoyed golf, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends. Surviving include his wife of 54 years, Bobbie McLamb Fair, sons, Troy Fair and fiancée, Haley Stancil; Todd Fair and wife, Elizabeth; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Nicole Faircloth, Karson Brooke Fair, Kassidy Ann Fair, Katherine Grey Fair, Bryson Pierce Fair, Brayden Michael Fair and Brinkley Elizabeth Fair; one great-granddaughter, Charlotte Ruth Faircloth; sister, Barbara Troy; many nieces and nephews.                 The family will receive friends 6:30PM-8:30PM-Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Benson and other times at the home.                 In accordance with NC-COVID-19 guidelines, the funeral home suggests practicing social distancing and the three W's: wait, wash, and wear a face covering. The visitation on Tuesday Night will follow all COVID 19 restrictions allowing a maximum number of people in the visitation room. Mask are required for all services.
