Weston James Porter

Coats, NC: Weston James Porter, 3 months, of W. Main Street Coats passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at his home surrounded by his loving parents. Memorial Services will be 11:00AM Saturday, October 25, 2025 at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Rev. Terry Hardison. The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service and other times at the home of Genia Lynn, 2509 Holly Grove Road Benson, NC 27504.

Weston was born on June 27, 2025 in Cumberland County. He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandfather, Ronnie Jernigan; and paternal great-grandfather, Dolson “Pop-Pop” James Porter, and paternal great-grandmother, Teresa Allen. Weston will be known as a warrior coming into the world spending 12 days in the NICU. He was a charmer using his toothless grin to get his way with his loving parents and brother. Weston he was full of joy, life, and was loved by all who came to know him. His favorite times of day was playing with his mommy in the mornings and afternoon shenanigans with daddy and brother.

Survivors include his parents, Chad James “C. J.” and Ashlee Rhodes Porter; brother, Waylon Drake Porter; maternal grandparents, Woody and Angela Rhodes; paternal grandparents, Chad and Tracey Porter and Monica and Eddie Adams; maternal great-grandmothers, Carol Jernigan and Sandra Savageau; paternal great-grandfather, Bill Hauser; several beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
