Four Oaks, NC: Mr. Wade Eugene Creech, age 90, passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2026 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Graveside Funeral Services with Military Honors will be held 2:00PM-Monday, October 12, 2026 at Montlawn Memorial Park 2911 S. Wilmington Street, Raleigh, NC 27603. Rev. Rodney Raby will officiate. The family will receive friends 11:30AM-12:45PM, Monday, October 12, 2026 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks, NC prior to the graveside service.

Mr. Creech was born on November 15, 1936 in Johnston County, NC to the late Wade T. and Lillie Mae Jones Creech. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Linda Hargis Creech; mother of his children, Wilma Hammock Creech; daughter, Peggy Lynette Creech; and sisters, Patricia Ann Creech and Shelvie Jean Creech. Mr. Creech retired from the US Army after 21 years of service to his country with the rank of Master Sargent with the 1st Calvary Division. He served two tours of Vietnam distinguished himself by heroic action while serving as a member of Mobile Advisory Team I-9, Advisory Team 16, United States Army Advisory Group, I Corps Tactical Zone, United States Military Assistance Command, Vietnam. Mr. Creech was participating in the extraction of a wounded American after he had been liberated from a North Vietnamese Army hospital. He owned and operated multiple small businesses after retirement. Mr. Creech was a car enthusiast and loved camping.

Survivors include his daughter, Tamera Sergent and husband Dean; son, James Tyler Creech; bonus son, Steven D. Rogers and wife, Johanna; grandchildren, Rachel Hohlefelder and husband, Robert, Deana Smith and husband, Brian, and bonus grandson, Evan Rogers; great-grandchildren, Christian Barbour, Hannah Smith, Preston Smith, Asher Smith and bonus great-granddaughter, Madison Hohlefelder; sister, Lillie Esther “Peggy” Huber; nephews, Jeff Huber and Family, and Lance Huber.
