Angier, NC: Mrs. Virgie Kay Love Heath, age 90 of Ridge Road passed away on Monday, January 5, 2026 at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield surrounded by her loving family. Funeral Services will be 1:00PM Saturday, January 10, 2026 at Piney Grove Chapel Baptist Church in Angier. Family will receive friends from 12:00PM to 12:45PM prior to the service and other times at the home of Donna Heath. Dr. Brad Lee and Rev. Jack Robbins will officiate. Graveside Services will be 2:00PM Monday, January 12, 2026 at Alamance Memorial Park in Burlington, NC.

Mrs. Heath was born on March 19, 1935 in Burlington, NC to the late Carah and Mary Lilly Hibbs Love. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Graham Heath; a son, Charles Gregory “Greg” Heath; sisters, Peggy Rich and Jean Fayne; and brother, H. F. Love. Mrs. Heath was a homemaker and member of Piney Grove Chapel Baptist Church. She loved working in her flower gardens and going fishing. Mrs. Heath enjoyed watching all sports especially baseball.

She is survived by her daughters, Sandra Crotts and Donna Heath; grandchildren, Jeffrey Allen Carmichael and wife, Jen, Amanda Karpinski and husband, Steven; great-granddaughter, Emma Pearl Carmichael; sister, Shirley Bristow and husband, Bobby; many beloved nieces and nephews; and her beloved cat, Little Bit.

In lieu of flowers; memorials may be made to Piney Grove Chapel Baptist Church in honor of Mrs. Virgie Heath.

The Heath Family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield for their compassionate care of Mrs. Heath.
