Vicki Stewart
Johnson
May 14, 1949 — Oct 27, 2026
Coats, NC
Coats, NC: Mrs. Vicki Stewart Johnson, age 77, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at Transitions Life Care in Raleigh. Vicki’s wishes were to keep her service simple so the family will be holding a private graveside service.
Vicki was born on May 14, 1949, in Harnett County to the late Floyd and Jean Partin Stewart. She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, James Douglas Johnson; step-mother, Louise, and her precious pet, Zoe Lynn. Vickie had a love for the simple pleasures in life, especially tending to her flowers and watching and feeding the birds. She found great joy in cooking and, most of all, preparing meals for the family and close friends she loved so dearly. Her caring nature and dedication were also reflected in her work, having faithfully served for over 20 years with Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Coats and Harnett Devotional Gardens in Dunn. During those years, Vicki made a lasting difference in the lives of countless families during some of their most difficult days. Through her compassion, kindness, and willingness to serve, she offered comfort in ways that often went beyond words. She understood the importance of caring for others and took pride in being part of a profession dedicated to helping families honor and remember those they loved. Her years of service left a lasting impression on her coworkers and the many families whose lives she touched. Her love for family, her thoughtful spirit, and the warmth she shared with others will long be remembered.
Surviving are her sons, Jay Johnson of Angier and Lucas Johnson (Lynne) of Windsor; grandchildren, Creek Johnson of Windsor and Ella Johnson of Angier; brothers, Davy Stewart (Susan) and Nicky Stewart (Sandy) both of Angier; nephews, Mac (Holly) and Kyle (Jennifer) both of Angier and great-nieces and nephews.
She is also survived by her adopted best friend’s family of 58 years, Marilyn Ennis and her daughter, Andrea Roberson, who has been a beloved “adopted niece” and best friend since she was born, and “adopted grandson”, Zach Roberson of Coats. The devotion, love, and care-giving she has given has been beyond measure the past few years.
Also, lifelong friends, Sammy and Carolyn Wagner have been by her side continuously. Vickie said, “I could live lifetimes and never be able to repay or love enough.”
In lieu of flowers; memorials may be made to Coats Global Methodist Church, P.O. Box 388, Coats, NC 27521 in memory of Vicki Johnson.
A special message from Mrs. Vicki Johnson, “Thank you to all my family, special friends, and my precious, Zoe Lynn.”
Arrangements by Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Coats.
