Thomas Linwood Thomas

Four Oaks, NC: Mr. Thomas “Linwood” Thomas, age 79, of Four Oaks passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2025 at SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. The family will be holding a private memorial service at a later date.

Mr. Thomas was born on May 2, 1946 in Johnston County to the late John “Jack” William and Sarah Catherine Brady Thomas. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Ronnie Lynn Lawhorn. Prior to retirement, Mr. Thomas worked in construction and manufacturing but was also a life-long farmer. He was a kind and humble person that would do anything for anyone in need. He loved to fish and spend time on the family farm tinkering and fixing anything that was broken. Mr. Thomas loved his family more than anything, especially his great niece and nephew. He will be remembered by always having a smile on his face no matter what he was going through.

Survivors include his sister, Cookie Lawhorn; niece, Lynn Lawhorn Prescott and husband, Stephen; great nephew, Matthew Thomas Prescott; and great niece, Penelope Lynn Prescott.
