Benson, NC: Mr. Terry Douglas McKay, age 64, of Holly Grove Road passed away on Monday, December 29, 2025. A Private Entombment Service will be held.

Mr. McKay was born on February 3, 1961 in Harnett County to the late Charlie and Ethel Lee James. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his step-father, James Ryals. Prior to retirement, Mr. McKay was a Paramedic with Harnett County Emergency Services. Fishing was his favorite pastime, he was a Dallas Cowboys fan, and loved his pets Moe and Marley. Mr. McKay was a “Jack of all trades” who had a kind heart and would help anyone in need. He was a great husband, father, and grandfather and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra McKay; son, Christopher Gastardi and wife, Care; grandchildren, Audriana Gastardi, Lillian Gastardi, and Madison Gastardi; sisters, Rosa Lee Gardner and Brenda Avery; brother, Stephen James; sister-in-law, Susan Raynor; and many nieces and nephews.
