Benson, NC: Mrs. Sue Carra Manning Pearce, age 73, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2026 at UNC Rex Healthcare in Raleigh. A Graveside Funeral Service will be held-2:00 PM Saturday, September 5, 2026 at the Roselawn Community Mausoleum in Benson. The family will receive friends immediately following the graveside service.

Mrs. Pearce was born on May 14, 1953 in Harnett County to the late Melbourne David and Mildred Excell Raynor Manning. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward “Pee Wee” Pearce; son, Terry Johnathan Pearce; and siblings, Melbourne David Manning, II, Shirley Mae Barbour, Betty Lou Wood, and Emma LaRue Manning. She was a natural-born caregiver who found great joy in caring for others, especially her beloved grandchildren. She treasured the time spent with them, whether watching television together or gathering around the table for a card game. Strong-willed and generous, she loved deeply and gave freely to those who meant the most to her. Her caring nature, strength, and unwavering love for her family will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her.

Survivors include her son, Mike Pearce and wife, Molly; grandchildren, Cape Willa Pearce and Wilmington Edward Pearce; sister, Ammie Rose Barbour; and many nieces and nephews.
