This is Dana, the widow of Howard Holmes. To Larry and children, please know that my heart is very sad to hear of the passing of Shirley. I cherish the memories of the 15 years that Howard and I enjoyed as neighbors with your family there on Jonesboro Road. I pray that God will bless and comfort each of you during this very difficult time. I will never forget your family.

Me. Rogers said in times of trouble look to the helpers. Shirley was always one of the helpers that could be relied upon. A kind, funny and helpful person. She will be missed by so many .

Uncle Larry, Kim, Larry, Jr, and Shaun: My heart is heavy this evening as Im unable to be with you all. Please know that my heart is with you. I have such fond memories of all you. I will go back to my childhood years and remember Aunt Shirley and Uncle Larry during their courting years. I would go down during Summer vacation and spend with mama, Shirley &granddaddy.. I would always beg to go out with Shirley and Larry on their dates. They were very good about it (didnt like to see me get all teary-eyed) which I would do if they left me home. They would take me to get ice- cream, and best of all took me to see Elvis. After they got married, I would stay with Shirley & Larry. Really loved it when they started having the babies. Kim she was my wool-bully dancing machine. Then came Larry,Jr. I was in my teens then. Went down to help Shirley and took care of her when little Larry, Jr. was born. He was cute as a button but no hair, bald as an eagle. My Aunt Shirley had a hard time when those babies got almost grown. Thats when. little Shaun came along and filled that void. What a beautiful family they made. Best of all Ive been around on and off to enjoy and love them all.Aunt Shirley you certainly will be missed. Love you and God Bless
