Shirley Ann Gautier Johnson

Benson, NC: Mrs. Shirley Ann Gautier Johnson, age 79, of Tarheel Road died Friday, July 9, 2021 at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield surrounded by her loving family. Funeral Services will be 3:00PM Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson. Rev. Gary Avery will officiate. Burial will follow in Banner Chapel Advent Christian Church Cemetery in Benson.

Mrs. Johnson was born November 4, 1941 in Sampson County to the late Livie Thomas and Ila Mae Tanner Gautier. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Elmond Johnson; and a brother, Jerry Gautier. Mrs. Johnson was a retired nurse from Betsy Johnson Hospital in Dunn serving for over 25 years.

Surviving include her children, Kenneth Johnson and fiancé, Rhonda Rios of Benson, Betty J. Esparza and husband, John of Wake Forest; grandchildren, Jamie Murphy and wife, Heather, Kelly Johnson and fiancé, Justin Howell, Brandon Johnson and wife, Samantha, Parker Johnson, Bailey Johnson, Elizabeth G. Heath and husband, Brandon, Tony Gautier and wife, Julie; eleven great-grandchildren; brother, Earl Gautier and wife, Betty Gayle of Benson; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2:00PM to 2:45PM on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson.
