Sarah Jean Johnson Morgan

Smithfield, NC: Mrs. Sarah Jean Johnson Morgan, age 67, passed away Saturday, July 24, 2021 at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield, NC. Graveside Funeral Services will be held 1:00PM, Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at Hills of The Neuse Memory Gardens, Smithfield, NC. Rev. James Pearce will officiate.

Mrs. Morgan was born in Johnston County, NC to the late Ned Daniel, Jr., and Laura Anne Whittington Johnson. She was known to many children as Jean, Jean for the love she shown to them in her in-home daycare. She also worked as a department manager at Wal-Mart for many years and was loved by her family.

Surviving include her husband of 49 years, Russell Owen Morgan, children, Rebecca Ann Hines and husband, Douglas; and Valerie Morgan; grandchildren, Chelsey, Courtney, Dameon, and Zach; great-grandchildren, Catilyn and Luke; sisters, Sue Wilder and Dee Powell; brother, Danny Johnson; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 11:30AM-12:30PM, Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home, 5820 US HWY 301 S., Four Oaks, NC 27524 and other times at the home.
