Benson, NC: Mrs. Sadatha Edwards Creech, age 89, of Tarheel Road passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2026 at Liberty Commons Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Benson surrounded by her loving family. The family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM on Monday, October 19, 2026 at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00AM Tuesday, October 20, 2026 at the Benson Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church in Benson. Officiating will be Rev. Glenn McCullen. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery in Benson.

Mrs. Creech was born on January 22, 1937 in Johnston County to the late Jim and Pearl Lee Edwards. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gurnia Odell Creech. Mrs. Creech retired from Chicopee in Benson. She was a devoted Christian and was a member of Benson Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church. Mrs. Creech loved to work in her flower gardens and bird watching. She enjoyed spending time with her all her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Creech enjoyed working crossword puzzles and riding her golf cart around her home. She also enjoyed her scooter chair given to her by Russell and Candace. One of her greatest and proudest moments was graduating with her son, Jimmy from Johnston Community College receiving their high school diploma.

Surviving includes her children, Vickie C. Warren and husband, Ronald, Ray Creech and wife, Brenda, Jimmy Creech and wife, Cherylene, Rene C. Johnson and husband, Greg; grandchildren, Kelly Warren, Garrett Warren and wife, Nikki, Christopher Warren and wife, Hailey, Britton Creech and wife, Kim, Hannah Hill and husband, Andrew, Matthew Creech and wife, Jamie, Kevin Creech and wife, Emily, Candace Hendrix and husband, Russell, and Scott Johnson; and 18 great-grandchildren.
