Ruby Jane Lee Holmes

Ms. Ruby Jane Lee Holmes, age 98, of Dunn passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Harnett Woods in Dunn, NC.  Funeral Services will be held at 2:00PM-Monday, February 14, 2022 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Benson. Rev. Joseph Earp will officiate. Burial will follow in Devotional Gardens in Dunn.

Ms. Holmes was born on July 19, 1923 in Harnett County to Oscar P. and Novenia Barefoot Lee. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Hobert Holmes. Ms. Holmes worked for Dorothea Dix as a dietician for 17 years.

Surviving include her son, Sammy Holmes and wife, Dorothy of Dunn, her grandchildren, Samantha Herring of Benson, and Amanda Wrench and husband Andy of Dunn; great grandchildren, CJ Herring and Ean Herring; sister, Ann Register of Pine Level.  

The family will receive friends from 12:30PM to 1:45PM prior to the service at the funeral home in Benson. The family requests masks be worn during the visitation.
