I met Ricky when I started work in the Cary office in. To him, I would always be a "yankee" never a "southerner" but to both of us we were friends. We had many good times and I know that he will be missed by your family and so many others. RIPJeanne Lawton

Ricky, You have been the best thing that ever happened to me. I will always treasure our 51 years together and I thank God every day for your love, devotion and being the very best husband that anyone could ask for. I bless the day I found you. One girl, one boy, two hearts beating wildly, and I will always love you No one has been as blessed as we have been through the years. Thank you for always being there as my rock and very best friend. I will miss you forever. Much love to a beautiful person, inside and out. Thank you for a wonderful life and our two children, three grandchildren.

To Ricky's Family,We extend to you our deepest sympathy in the loss of Ricky. May God comfort you and give you peace and strength in the coming months. I was the Line & Service Supervisor for Carolina Power & Light Company in Garner when Ricky was transferred from Raleigh to the line crew in Garner. He was a very good employee, a very good friend, and he was always very helpful to me. I transferred to Aberdeen in 1974, and I did not see him very many times, but I always remembered him and kept up with him. I understand that Ricky did very well over the years with the company. I am very proud of all of his accomplishments, and knowing and working with him was a pleasure.
