Fayetteville, NC: Rebecca H. “Becky” Thomas, 66, was born in Harnett County on June 13, 1960. She passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday, July 28, 2026. Becky was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Terry Thomas; her parents, Gladys McLamb Capps and Matthew Demery Capps; her son, Kevin Thomas; and her siblings, Bobby Capps, Iola Marie French, Annie Rose Bryant, Matthew Capps, and Linda Capps.
She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory, including her children, Eric Chad Ammons, David Thomas, Teri Ann Thomas, and Kimberly Thomas. She is also survived by her siblings Sylvia Sanders of Bunnlevel, Larena Thornton and her husband, Bryan, of Raleigh, and Jason Capps of Pittsboro.
Becky was a proud grandmother to Terra and Tyler Oakes, Trey Ammons AKA “Hot Rod”, Jada Thomas, Kylie Thomas, Jordan Davis, Landon Ammons, Ricky Ammons, Bynum Blake, Brandon and Linda Jackson AKA “Mookie”, Tracey and Johnathan Wheeler, Layla Britt, Gracie and Brooklyn Jackson, Joseph Trent, and Jewels Jackson, Krys McClain, Traci Lee, Jordan and Nick Wise, and Brayden and Abel Cauler. She was blessed with her great-grandchildren, Luna Jordan, Autumn Lee, River and Rainsley Pevia, Lukas and Nyah Green, and Emile and Leia Jackson.
In addition to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, Becky is survived by many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss her dearly.
Becky will be remembered for the love she shared with her family, her unwavering faith, and the strength she displayed throughout her life. Even during the most difficult times, her faith never wavered, and she faced every challenge with courage, grace, and determination. Her legacy of love, resilience, and devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
A graveside funeral service will be held-12:00 PM Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at Banner Chapel Advent Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the graveside service.
The family respectfully requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made directly Rose and Graham Funeral Home of Benson NC to assisted with funeral expenses. Your kindness and generosity during this difficult time are deeply appreciated.
