RC Artis Clark, Jr.

Coats, NC: Mr. RC Artis Clark, Jr., age 52, of Ebenezer Church Road passed away on May 18, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM -Friday, May 21, 2021 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson. Revs. Kelvin Blackman and Curtis Tatum will officiate. Burial will follow in Hodges Chapel PFWB Church Cemetery, Benson.

RC was born on April 1, 1969 in Harnett County to Kay Ivey Clark of Benson and the late RC Clark, Sr. He was a certified welder and fabricator who owned and operated R & R Welding Service, Inc. for 16 years. RC was a US Army Veteran. He was an avid golfer, surf fisher and loved spending time with his grandchildren. RC loved watching sports and ridiculed anyone that wasn’t a Tarheel Fan. He was well loved by his family, friends and the community.


Surviving in addition to his mother are his beloved wife of 33 years, Angela Lynn Clark; children, Christopher Clark and wife, Madison of Clayton, Lindsay Clark and Jared Riley of Benson, Aprile Clark of the home; grandchildren, Dash Gordon and Kayden Riley; grandmother, Lenora Ivey of Benson; sister, Rhonda Ferrell and husband, Joe of Coats; brother, Rodney Clark and wife, Audrey of Coats; numerous nieces and nephews.


The family will receive friends from 12:30PM to 1:30PM Friday, May 21, 2021 prior to the service at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson and other times at the home.


In accordance with NC-COVID-19 guidelines, the funeral home suggests practicing social distancing and the three W's: wait, wash, and wear a face covering.

My heart is broken as I have also loss a dear wonderful nephew. I will truly miss his calls on my birthday and the special talks we occasionally had. When he would say he played golf and had a good game I would say it was because Joe was with you.

I am so sorry, RC was very sweet and caring and had a heart of gold. He always called or texted me to tell me Happy Mother's Day 😘 He always cooked to feed us all at our family gatherings and always did a great job! He will definitely be missed . Sending prayers to you all! Love you all
