Ralph Wesley "Sonny" Tharp

Four Oaks, NC: Mr. Ralph Wesley “Sonny” Tharp, age 67, passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2025 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. Funeral Services will be held 3:00PM, Thursday, September 4, 2025 at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Four Oaks, NC. Pastor Eddie White will officiate.

Mr. Tharp was born on September 15, 1957 in Ohio, to the late Ralph S. Tharp and Ruth Ann Price Tharp Toombs. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Vince Toombs, grandson, Johnny Brian Guin, Jr, and his siblings, John Thomas Tharp, Rebecca Watkins, and Sharon Snead. Mr. Tharp was a retired truck driver. He enjoyed racing, fishing, and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Sandy Tharp; children, Julia Collins, Amanda Delacruz, William Guin, Jr., and Johnny Brian Guin, Sr.; fourteen grandchildren, and one great-grandson; many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2:00PM-2:45PM-Thursday prior to the service at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks, NC.
