Playto Blackmon, Jr.

Garner:  Mr. Playto Thompson Blackmon Jr., age 83, of 10807 Cleveland Road died Thursday at Laurels of the Forest Glen in Garner. Funeral Services will be held 3:00PM Sunday at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Four Oaks.  Officiating will be the Revs. Scott Johnson & L.E. Godwin. Burial will follow at the Hills of the Neuse Memory Gardens in Smithfield.   Mr. Blackmon was born March 19, 1931 in Johnston County to the late Playto Thompson Sr. & Omega Yelverton Blackmon.  Mr. Blackmon was a retired propane truck driver and was a US Army veteran. Surviving are; wife of 57 years, Faye Johnson Blackmon; son & daughter-in-law, Larry Sr. & Pam Blackmon of Garner; grandchildren, Larry Blackmon, Jr., and Tonya Keaton; great-grandchildren, Kendall Keaton, Bryce Keaton and Hailey Grey Keaton, brothers, Jake Blackmon of Smithfield & Billy Blackmon of Knightdale; sisters, Lib McCabe of Smithfield & Becky Lee of Benson; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 6:00PM to 8:00PM, Saturday at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks.
