Benson, NC: Mrs. Patricia “Pat” Potter, age 76, of Heatherstone Court passed away on June 18, 2026 at her residence with her loving family by her side. A Memorial Service will be held-4:00 PM Saturday, June 20, 2026 at Rose and Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Rev. Steve Cayton.

Mrs. Potter was born on February 21, 1950 in Nash County to the late Elijah Rufus House and Gretchen Daughtridge Horton. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Roger Wayne House and Elijah Rufus House, Jr. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose love for her family was evident in everything she did. She took great pride in a career she cherished for more than 30 years and was known for her thoughtful, generous nature and unwavering support of those she loved. She enjoyed spending time with family playing spades, fishing—especially alongside her special fishing buddy, Brendan—and preparing delicious meals that brought everyone together. She adored her beloved dogs, Kobi and Milo. Christmas was her favorite time of year, and she worked tirelessly to make the holiday magical for her family, creating traditions and memories that will be treasured forever. Her kindness, love, and selfless heart touched countless lives and leave behind a legacy of love for her family.

Surviving includes her husband of 29 years, Frank Potter; children, Georgia Tapia, Shannon Brown and husband, Tim, Frank Potter Gainey Jr. and partner, Linwood, Timmy Potter and significant other, Ambre, and Mitchell Potter and wife, Jennifer; grandchildren, Nikki, Jaylon, Matt, Tyler, Donovan, Justin, Maci, and DeLuca; many great grandchildren; sister, Darlene Edmondson (Johnnie); and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Benson.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society at P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
