Angier, NC: Mrs. Nancy Kay Fearing, age 85, of Grand Stand Lane passed away on Monday, June 8, 2026 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Fearing was born on December 2, 1940 in Muscatine County, Iowa to the late Leland Meredith and Daphna Ladine Fields Larson. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Allen Fearing. She will be remembered as a giving and faithful woman whose life was centered on her love for Jesus Christ. A supportive and devoted mother, she generously shared her time with others as a Girl Scout leader, youth coach, and worked with Meals on Wheels. Throughout her life, she worked as both a waitress and a bank teller, approaching every role with dedication. Strong in her Christian faith and steadfast in her conservative values, she longed for the day she would be in the presence of her Savior. She loved singing, especially as a member of her church choir, and was known for her intelligence, love of reading, and lifelong curiosity. As a student, she excelled in athletics and music, earning five letters in basketball and four letters in music. A passionate sports fan, she faithfully cheered for the North Carolina Tar Heels, the Chicago White Sox, and the Green Bay Packers. She found joy in butterflies, owls, waterfalls, and the color pink. Her faith, strength, and love for family leave a lasting legacy that will be cherished by all who knew her.

Surviving include her children, Matthew Allen Fearing, Erin Christine Fearing, Laura Elizabeth Newkirk and husband, Jimmy, and Richard Leslie Fearing and wife, Shirley; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; siblings, Judith Ann Crouch and husband, Bill, Gary Larson and wife, Sharrelle, Wendy Thomas and husband, Larry, and Stephen Fields Larson and wife, Denise; and many nieces and nephews.
