Nancy Elaine Clifton

Benson, NC: Miss Nancy Elaine Clifton, age 77 passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at Betsy Johnson Regional Hospital in Dunn surrounded by her loving family. Funeral Services will be 11:00AM Thursday, May 15, 2025 in the Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Benson. The family will receive friends from 10:00AM to 10:45AM on Thursday, May 15, 2025 prior to the service at Rose & Graham Funeral Home.

Miss Clifton was born on October 6, 1947 in Johnston County to the late Mitchell and Melba Clifton. She was preceded in death by brothers, Kenneth Clifton and Tommy Clifton. Heaven gained a precious soul as Nancy Clifton stepped into the arms of her Savior. A woman of unwavering faith, she lived her life with a servant’s heart – quietly, humbly, and always with purpose. Though she never married or had children of her own, she was a mother, mentor, and prayer warrior to many. She poured out love like living water, always lifting others in prayer, and offering a listening ear. Her days were marked by selflessness and service. Miss Clifton’s joy was found in loving the Lord and others well. She leaves behind a legacy not written in worldly accomplishments but in lives touched, prayers answered, and hearts pointed towards Jesus. We know she is now rejoicing, whole and home, in the presence of the One she faithfully served.

Surviving are her brother, Mitchell Clifton, Jr. and wife, Edna of Benson; sisters-in-law, Karen Gibbs of Benson, and Glenda Clifton of Benson; several nieces and nephews; special longtime friends, Jean Wood and Hazel King.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to BAMA (Benson Area Ministerial Association) to assist in their continued efforts in the community she loved and ministered to her entire life. You can also honor her by simply offering prayer, kindness, and compassion to those around you.

Well done good and faithful servant! You were deeply loved, and you are eternally remembered.
