Garner, NC: Ms. Myrtle Moore Lassiter, age 95, passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at BellaRose Nursing and Rehab in Garner. A Graveside Memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 11:00AM in the Lees Chapel Advent Christian Church Cemetery in Four Oaks. Rev. Rodney Raby will officiate. The family will greet friends after the service in the cemetery.

Ms. Lassiter was born in Johnston County, NC, on October 12, 1930 to the late Hunter and Donnie Parker Moore . She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Lassiter; son, Michael Lassiter; brothers, H.V. Moore, Junius Moore, and Thomas Moore; a sister, Reba Moore Massengill. Ms. Lassiter was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister she will be missed by all her family and by everyone who knew her.

Survivors include her children, Betsy Lassiter Byrd and, husband, Linwood, Ronald Hugh Lassiter and, wife, Donna, Danny Willis Lassiter and, wife, Carole; along with ten grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren; sisters, Majorie Moore Dunn, Catherine Moore Keene, Faye Moore Adams and Hilda Moore Beasley.
