Smithfield, NC: Ms. Mildred Ann Cobb Bryant, age 87, passed away on August 19, 2026 at Smithfield Manor in Smithfield. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 22 at 11:00AM at Burnell Baptist Church in Four Oaks. The Rev. Jesse Brock will officiate.

Ms. Bryant was born on September 3, 1938 in Johnston County to the late William Talmadge “Tab” and Pauline Watson Higgins. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Billy Ray Cobb and Henry Herbert Bryant, Sr. Ms. Bryant loved to work with her hands in the garden and in her yard. She had a loyal companion named Hannah, who she loved very much.

Surviving include her step-children, Suzanne Field and husband, Randy, Donna Allen and husband, Dennis, and Herbie Bryant and wife, Tina; along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Mildred had several cousins who loved her dearly as well.
