Mr. Taylor was born in Wayne County, NC, on September 4, 1956 to the late Roscoe and Hortense Jones Taylor.

Survivors include his brother, Bobby Taylor and wife, Angalene; sisters, Marilyn and Cheryl Taylor along with several nieces and nephews.
