Smithfield, NC: Mrs. Mary Ellen Johnson Norris, age 79, passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at UNC Johnston Health in Smithfield, surrounded by her loving family. The family will receive friends from 10:00AM-10:45AM-Saturday, May 16, 2026 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks, NC. Funeral Services will be held 11:00AM-Saturday, May 16, 2026 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Four Oaks, NC. Entombment will follow in Four Oaks City Cemetery in Four Oaks, NC.

Mrs. Norris was born on August 16, 1946, in Johnston County, NC, to the late Alton and Dellie Ellen Allen Johnson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Ralph Norris; a daughter, Kimberly Deanne Norris; and several sisters and brothers. Mrs. Norris was a retired beautician. She enjoyed working in her flower gardens and you could always find her looking for a treasure yard selling and antiquing. Mrs. Norris loved to sew and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her daughter, Wendy Norris Camp and husband, Barry; granddaughters, Dianna Camp and significant other, Scotty Taylor, Deanna Beasley and husband, Clifton; grandson, Jacob Ennis; brother, Waylon Johnson and wife, Pat; several nieces and nephews.
