Benson, NC: Mrs. Mary Lois Black Denning, age 71, passed away on Monday, June 115, 2026 at her residence. Graveside Funeral Services will be held 2:00PM, Thursday, June 18, 2026 at Roselawn Cemetery. Rev. Jerome Pope will officiate. The family will receive friends following the Graveside Service.

Mrs. Denning was born in Johnston County, NC, to the late Otis Leslie Black and Melva Hudson Black. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, William Everette Denning, Jr., and William Lester “Tinnie” Denning, and several brothers and sisters. In her earlier years of life, she worked in convenience stores, and furniture retail stores. However, she loved her thrift shop, and selling treasures at her home yard sales. She attended Samson Community Church in Dunn, NC.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, William Everette “Billy” Denning, Sr.; sister-in-law, Brenda Allen; several nieces and nephews.
