Marvin Earl Sills, Sr.

Benson, NC: Mr. Marvin Earl Sills, Sr.,age 78, of Benson Hardee Road passed away on Monday, May 25, 2026 at SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Memorial Services will be held-2:00 PM Thursday, May 28, 2026 at Rose and Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Mr. Sills was born on July 13, 1947 in Wayne County to the late Marvin Patrick and Vera Newell Sills. He was preceded in death by his parents. He spent his life devoted to his family, always offering wisdom, jokes, laughter, and a helping hand whenever it was needed. Whether sharing stories, life lessons, pieces of advice, or sitting on the swing with his beloved dog, Marley, the memories he created with his family will be cherished forever. His loving family will continue to honor his legacy through the values and love he passed down through generations.

Surviving includes his son, Marvin Earl Sills, Jr. and his wife, Mary Helen of Benson; grandchildren, McKinley Sills and Maddox Sills; sister, Brenda Tyndall and husband, Howard of Goldsboro; and niece, Amanda Tyndall.
