Marvin Jethro Parker

Benson, NC: Mr. Marvin Jethro Parker, age 89, of 308 S. Elm Street passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Barbour Court Nursing and Rehabilitation in Smithfield, NC. Private Services will be held. 

Mr. Parker was born on April 27, 1934 in Johnston County to the late James Malcom and Hester Elizabeth Vann Parker. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Grace Parker; sons, Chris Parker and Jonathan Parker; and his brothers and sisters. Prior to retirement, he was a commercial and residential electrician by trade and was chief of the maintenance division of the public works department at Fort Bragg. He served in the United States National Guard, was Past Master of Relief Lodge # 431 of Benson, a 32° Scottish Rite Mason, and a Shriner. 

Survivors include his children, Marvin Anthony “Tony” Parker and wife, Winnie of Warner Robins, GA, Roxanne Parker of Garner, Dane Parker of Benson, Kevin Parker and wife, Ginger of El Paso, TX, Crystal Allen and husband, Rudy of Benson, and Gina Gibson of Spearfish, SD; 8 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.
