Marvin Eugene Hix, III

Four Oaks, NC: Mr. Marvin Eugene Hix, III, age 77, passed away on Friday, June 6, 2025, at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield, NC, surrounded by his loving family. Funeral Services will be 2:00PM-Sunday, June 8, 2025 at Pauline Baptist Church, Four Oaks, NC. Dr. Robert Cooke will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hayes Family Cemetery, Four Oaks, NC.

Mr. Hix was born on May 23, 1948, in Wake County, NC to the late Marvin Eugene Hix, Jr., and Lila Mae Taylor Hix. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Marie Hix Kersey. Mr. Hix was a commercial heating and air mechanic and consultant with several HVAC companies. He was an avid fisherman, loved camping, riding horses and wagons, and for many years always attended Benson Mule Day’s. Mr. Hix attended Pauline Baptist Church and also served our country in the US Marines.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Sandra Hayes Hix; sons, Marvin Eugene Hix, IV, and wife, Dianna, and Wesley Brian Hix, grandchildren, Justin Lee Hix, Ashlyn Nichole Hix, Brittany Hope Casey, Braxton Alexander Campbell, and Bailey Marie Kersey; eight great-grandchildren, sisters, Patricia Phillips, Teresa Heath, and Patsy Hill, and a brother, Billy Hix, many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00PM-8:00PM- Saturday, June 7, 2025 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC.
