Benson, NC: Mr. Marvin Emerson Britt, age 92, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2026. The family will receive friends from 12:45PM-1:45PM-Thursday, March 26, 2026 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00PM in the funeral chapel. Rev. Randy Beasley will officiate. Burial will follow in the Bradshaw Cemetery in Newton Grove, NC.

Mr. Britt was born on October 5, 1933, in Sampson County, NC, to the late William Rufus and Lillian Bradshaw Britt. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, daughters, Sheila Godwin, and Marsha Bryant, son-in-law, Gene Parker, longtime companion, Clara Dean Jackson Britt, and several brothers and sisters. Mr. Britt retired from the Benson Veneer Plant in Benson, NC, and was a US Army Veteran serving from 1954 to 1962, and was also in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Banner Post 109 American Legion, where he served as Past Commander, Forty & Eight, where he served as president, Johnston County Veterans Council, and also the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Mr. Britt loved to travel, work in his garden, and tinker on things, however, his greatest joy was spending time with his family.

Survivors include his daughters, Kay B. Parker, and Donna B. Sinclair and husband, Anthony; grandchildren, Jennifer Godwin, David Lee, Alicia Peacock and husband, Connor, and Andi Sinclair; great-granddaughters, Addie Peacock, Brittani, Kylie, Xandria VanWinkle, son-in-law, Stewart Bryant; sister, Robin O’Brien; extended family, Dean Britt, and Abigail Raynor; and many nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to express their appreciation to Michelle Church for her loving care given to Mr. Britt.

The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers, and will receive friends at the home of his daughter, Kay.
