Mrs. Louise Ivey Tanner, age 95, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2026 at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield, NC, surrounded by her loving family. The Family will receive friends from 6:00PM-8:00PM-Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC. Funeral Services will be held 11:00AM, Thursday, June 11, 2026 at Banner Chapel Advent Christian Church, Benson, NC. Rev. Joe Brown and Mr. Allen Morgan will officiate. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Tanner was born on June 11, 1930 in Johnston County, NC to the late Delbert Allen and Aldonia Beasley Ivey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Olin D. Tanner, daughter, Brenda Tanner Ennis, and her siblings, John Ivey and wife, Eva, and Rayford Ivey, and wife, Geraldine, and a brother-in-law, Kenneth Morgan. Mrs. Tanner retired in 1992 from Block Industries, also known as the Shirt Factory, in Benson, NC. She was a homemaker, and a member of Banner Chapel Advent Christian Church for over 60 years, where she taught Sunday School for many of those years. Mrs. Tanner was a member of the Banner Post 109 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She was well known for her famous tea cakes and was loved by her family and all who knew her.

Surviving include her son, Ronald Tanner and wife, Carol; son-in-law, Ricky Ennis and special friend, Lou Ann; grandchildren, Renee Underwood and husband, Chris; Amanda Ziady and husband, Chad; Ron Tanner, Jr. and wife, Martha; April Johnson and husband, Brian, and David Tanner and wife, Emily; great-grandchildren, Dale McGee and wife, Mackenzie, Dillon McGee and special friend, Olivia, Scott Tanner and special friend, Gianna, Ashlynn Tanner, Hunter Tanner, Tyler Tanner, Sawyer Johnson, Addalen Johnson, Salem Tanner, Colton Tanner, Ivey Jo Tanner, and Gracie Mae Tanner; great-great-granddaughter, Mary-Grayce McGee; sister, Joyce Morgan; many loving nieces and nephews.

The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers, and are receiving friends at other times at the home.
