Linda Carolyn Oliver

Angier, NC: Mrs. Linda Carolyn Oliver, age 80, of Ridge Road passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at UNC Johnston Health in Clayton with her family by her side. Funeral Services will be held-2:00 PM Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at Rose and Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Rev. Allen Gupton. Burial will follow in Fellowship Community Cemetery in Angier.

Mrs. Oliver was born on January 9, 1945 in Johnston County to the late James Gaston Oliver and Betty Davis Hilliard. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandsons, Justin Strickland and Matthew Bryant. Prior to retirement, she was a Home Health C.N.A. She was a faithful Christian who loved her Lord and Savior and loved to read her bible. Her happy place was camping in the North Carolina Mountains with her family where she met many friends who became family and loved feeding peppermints to her mountain donkey, George. She was always the first on the dance floor and the last to leave. Spending time with her grandkids lit up her life. She loved her friends, her daughter’s work family, but loved her family most of all. Her infectious smile and kind heart will live in her family’s memories. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her life partner, Shannon Baker; her children, Ricky Parrish and significant other, Angie Jones, Ginger Bryant, and Terry Parrish; grandchildren, Sandra Wise and Tommy Holland; 17 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; sisters, Evelyn Snead and husband, John, Ann Head, and Gail Bowers; her cat, Smokey; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Benson.

The family would love to give their heartfelt thanks to the nurses and doctors at UNC Johnston Health for their compassionate care.
