Mrs. Linda Elaine Morris, 72, of Benson, North Carolina, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 5, 2026, at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield, North Carolina. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Born on December 13, 1953, in Huntington, West Virginia, Linda was the daughter of the late Paul Douglas Hayman II and Beverly Ann Thompson Hayman. Linda was a kind, caring, and loving woman who always put her family first. She had a heart full of compassion and was always willing to do whatever she could for the people she loved. Linda had a deep and unwavering love for the Lord, and her faith was an important part of who she was. She was a hardworking and devoted woman who cherished time spent with her family and had a special place in her heart for her beloved animals, who brought her so much joy. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 41 years, Joseph Michael Morris, and her parents, Paul Douglas Hayman II and Beverly Ann Thompson Hayman. 

Linda is survived by her daughter, Kelli Barefoot and husband, Bret Barefoot; her son, Drew Morris; her grandchildren, Collin Barefoot and Ava Barefoot; her sister, Kristy Grenz and husband, David Grenz; her brother, Paul Hayman and wife, Michelle Hayman; and her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Tim and Susan Morris and John and Dawn Morris. Though she will be deeply missed, the memories she created and the love she shared will remain in the hearts of her family forever.
