Linda Duke Farmer

Four Oaks, NC: Mrs. Linda Duke Farmer, age 80, of Boyette Road passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at UNC Johnston Health in Smithfield. Funeral Services will be held-2:00 PM Monday, November 27, 2023 at Four Oaks United Methodist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Adam Charville. Burial will follow in Four Oaks City Cemetery.

Mrs. Farmer was born on March 30, 1943 in Cumberland County to the late George Roy Duke Sr. and Lena Quick Duke. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, George Roy Duke Jr. Prior to retirement, Mrs. Farmer was a substitute teacher for over 20 years and a homemaker. During her many years of substitute teaching at Four Oaks Schools and South Johnston High School, she enjoyed her students and the faculty she had the pleasure of working with and loved to see them years after their school years were over. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Jim Farmer; daughter, Donna Farmer Raulerson and husband, Joe; son, Michael Farmer and wife, Chandra; and grandchildren, Dylan Raulerson, Kyle Raulerson; and Caroline Coats.

The Family will receive friends immediately following the committal service at Four Oaks City Cemetery.  

Flowers are welcome, however, memorials may be made in her memory to Four Oaks United Methodist Church at 302 N. Church St. Four Oaks, 27524.
