Benson, NC: Mrs. Laurie Susan Warner, age 65, passed away on Friday, October 30, 2026. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Wild Bill. Her children, Valerie and husband, Kevin Barefoot; son, Billy Warner; grandson, Kenneth Barefoot; brothers, and sisters.

Laurie was born in Hudson, New York, but spend the last half of her life in Benson, North Carolina. Those who knew her best, knew her as Peachy or Dragon Lady. She had a wonderfully eccentric personality. She loved people, the color purple, and motorcycles. She was a collector of dragons, crescent moons, and “adopted” family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Susan Lott, and her adopted son, Peter Quickenton.

The family is incredibly grateful for any financial support to help cover the arrangement costs during this difficult time.
