Ladislao Soto

Newton Grove, NC:  Mr. Ladislao Soto, age 85, passed away Monday, December 16, 2019 at UNC Johnston Health in Smithfield.  Mass of Christian Burial will be 3:30, Thursday, December 19, 2019 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.  Father Alvaro Riquelme will officiate.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.                               Mr. Soto was born on June 27, 1934 in Mexico to the late Bartolo Soto and Guadalupe Lopez.  He was preceded in death by his first wife, Juanita Z. Soto; granddaughter, Viridiana Valadez, and brothers, Jose Soto, Silvestre Soto, Tomasita Soto, Consuelo Soto, Pedro Soto and Casimiro Soto. Mr. Soto was a farmer.  He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Newton Grove.                Surviving are his wife of 14 Years, Maria (Mariene) Luna Perez; children, Maria (Chelo) Soto Saucedo and husband, Gaudalupe, Sonia Soto-Garcia and husband, Alfonso, Ladislao (Lalo) Soto, Jr., Jorge L. Soto, Paloma Soto-Florido and husband, Jose, and Gerardo D. Soto and wife, Maria (Lupe); 25 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Guadalupe Soto; and nephews, Pedro Soto and Martin Soto.              The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM,  Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks, NC with a rosary service beginning at 7:00 PM and other times at the home. Misa de Sepultura Cristiana sera a las 3:30 pm el Jueves 19 de Diciembre de 2019, en Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe Iglesia Caotolica. Padre Alvaro Riquelma oficiara la misa.  El entierro seguira despues en el cementerio.      Sr. Soto nacio el 27 de Junio de 1934 en Yahualica Jalisco, Mexico, nacido de los ahora fallecidos Bartolo Soto y Guadalupe Lopez. Fue precedido en muerte a su primer esposa Juana (Juanita) Zapata de Soto; nieta Viridiana Valadez, hermanos, Jose Soto, Silvestre Soto, Tomasita Soto, Consuelo Soto, Pedro Soto, y Casimiro Soto. El Sr. Soto era un trabajador del campo. El era miembro de la Iglesia Catolica Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe en Newton Grove.     Sobrevivientes su esposa de 14 años, Maria (Mariene) Luna Perez; hijos Maria del Consuelo (Chelo) Soto y esposo Guadalupe (Lupe) Saucedo , Sonia Soto-Garcia y esposo Alfonso, Ladislao Soto Jr (Lalo), Jorge Luis Soto, Paloma Soto-Florido y esposo Jose, Gerardo Daniel Soto y esposa Maria G (Lupe) Soto.; 25 nietos; 10 bisnietos; hermano Guadalupe Soto, y sobrinos Martin Soto y Pedro Soto.          La familia recibira amigos y  familia de 6:00pm - 9:00 pm, Miercoles 18 de Diciembre de 2019 en Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks, NC con el Rosario empezando a las 7:00pm y otras horas en la casa.
