Judy West Langdon

Four Oaks: Mrs. Judy West Langdon, age 82, of King Mill Road, passed away on Friday, May 30, 2025 at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at Oliver's Grove Baptist Church in Four Oaks, NC. Officiating will be the Rev. Jessie Brock. A private burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Langdon was born July 12, 1942 in Johnston County to the late Jessie Wilbert and Eunice Parker West. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Edward Langdon; and brothers, J.W. West and Edwin Earl West. Mrs. Langdon retired from Johnston Memorial Hospital as a registered nurse after 40 plus years of service. She was a devoted member of Oliver’s Grove Baptist Church where she served in the WMU Ministry and the Prayer Blanket Journey Ministry. Mrs. Langdon enjoyed riding around the countryside and going out to eat with family and friends.

Mrs. Langdon is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lisa L. and Michael Burgess of Four Oaks; grandchildren, Michaela Burgess and Langdon Burgess; sisters-in-law, Pat Cain of Durham, Katherine Moore and Fran Benson both of Four Oaks; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 10:00AM to 10:45AM at Oliver’s Grove Baptist Church prior to the serve on Tuesday and other times at the home of Lisa and Michael Burgess.

Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to Oliver’s Grove Baptist Church WMU or PBJ Ministry, P. O. Box 663 Benson, NC 27504.

The Langdon Family would like to thank the staff and caregivers of Liberty Commons Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Benson and SECU Hospice House in Smithfield for the care and compassion shown to Mrs. Judy during her recent decline in health.
