Josephine Stewart Parker

Mrs. Josephine Stewart Parker, age 90, passed away at her residence on Thursday, December 23, 2021 with her family by her side. Funeral Services will be 3:00PM-Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Rose and Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson, NC. Bishop Dennis Smith will officiate. Burial will follow in the Benson City Cemetery in Benson, NC.

Mrs. Parker was born in Harnett County NC to the late Jesse and Elvia Johnson Stewart. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Calvin C. Parker, and Macon Pearce, great-grandson, Cullen Reece Parker, daughter-in-law, Edna Barefoot Parker, sisters, Della Slye and Magdalene Black, brothers, Walter Stewart, Jesse Martin Stewart, Robert Stewart and Thomas Stewart. Mrs. Parker retired from Dorothea Dix Hospital and also Holly Hill Hospital. She was a longtime faithful member of Unity Pentecostal Church for as long as she was physically able to attend.

Surviving include her son, Calvin Parker, Jr., daughter, Joan Spence and husband, Andy; grandchildren, Kevin Parker and wife Amy, Trent Parker and wife, Erica, Chris Spence and wife Carmen, and Melisa Ramsey and husband, Johnny; great-grandchildren, Alexa Parker, Chloe Parker, Colby Parker, Tori Ramsey, Jovi Ramsey, Levi Ramsey; sister-in-law, Rose Stewart; many nieces and nephews

The family will receive friends from 1:45PM-2:45PM, Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC and other times at the home of Joan and Andy Spence 174 Spence Lane, Angier, NC 27501.
