Joseph Neighbors

Dunn:  Mr. Joseph “Joe” Arthur Neighbors, age 91, of 291 Hodges Chapel Road died Monday at Cornerstone Nursing Home. Graveside Funeral Service will be 6:00PM Wednesday, September 21, 2011, at Hodges Chapel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.  Rev. Condary Ellis will officiate.     Mr. Neighbors was born June 13, 1920 in Harnett County to the late Arthur and Nancy McLamb Neighbors.  He was also preceded in death by his wife, Octavia Gainey Neighbors, and daughter, Myra Neighbors Quick. Mr. Neighbors was a farmer and a member of Hodges Chapel PFWB Church. Surviving include Grandchildren & Spouses, Betsy & Simon Melcher of Apex and Kyle & Karen Quick of Winterville; Son-in-Law, Floyd Quick of Raleigh; Brother, John Sylvester “Sib” Neighbors of Dunn; Sister, Eloise N. Boyette of Asheville; Great Grandchildren, Eli Melcher, Myra Margaret Melcher, and Peyton Lily Quick; and Niece and Nephews, Nancy B. Miller, Robert Boyette, Richard Boyette, and their families. Family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Tuesday, September 20, 2011. Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to one’s favorite charity.
