Smithfield: Mr. Joseph “Joe” Giles Wilson, age 83, of Bluestone Drive died Sunday, May 31, 2026, at Liberty Commons surrounded by his loving family. Memorial service will be 11:00 AM Saturday, June 20, 2026 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson. The family will receive friends after the memorial service. Rev. John Foister and Rev. Rick Overman will officiate.

Joe was born February 2, 1943 in Berkley, California to the late Norman Miles and Emma Giles Wilson. Joe was an avid Clemson Tiger fan. Joe loved the Kentucky Derby from his days growing up in Louisville. He worked as a Network Engineer for the state of North Carolina. Joe ‘s pride and joy was his 65 T-bird and his Clemson orange Ford truck. Joe loved his family especially his grandchildren. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Surviving is his wife of 29 years, Debbie Wilson; children, Joe Wilson, Jr. and wife, Terri, Stuart Morgan and wife, Christi Burnett, Stephen Morgan; seven grandchildren.

Flowers are welcome but memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

The family would like to thank Liberty HomeCare & Hospice Services along with Liberty Commons for the excellent care they gave Joe.
