It's hard to believe that it's been a year since you made your heavenly flight home. Isure miss your phone calls ol buddy and your visits to the mountains. You were like another dad to me with your advice, encouragement and just being there for me so many times. You sir were the definition of a true friend and I cherish the friendship that we had. You were like a grandfather to my children, especially Brooklyn who loved you sooo much and asked about you often. I wish I could thank you one more time for being so good to me and my family. Thank you Michelle & Alex for sharing your dad with me!! LOVE & PRAYERS are being sent your way!!

My family and I were blessed immensely to know Joe. I came to know Joe my freshman year in college when I worked for BAE at NCSU, serving the 4-H Electric Program. Little did I know then what an impact he would have on me as a 4-H Agent a few years later. I was one of the many 4-H Agents that he came out to the county and did 4-H electric programs for the youth. He loved working with the 4-Hers and teaching them everything he knew about electricity and the safety behind it.

He was a father figure for Steve and myself and we called on him often for his guidance or just for boost - we could always count on that! Our Addie and Eli called him "Uncle Joe" and he was the namesake for one of Addie's first market lambs, which he bought for her! He always encouraged them in their animal science projects and 4-H.

Hi heart was bigger than life itself! I know how much he loved children and grandchildren. His time with Gerri these last years was filled with happiness - probably the happiest I have ever known him to be. I know you will all miss him and you have been in our thoughts and prayers.

We will miss him so much, but I when I want to call him, I'll just bring up one of the great memories and remember the advice he shared over the years.

Joe Gregory was bigger than life to me. And his HEART was bigger than he was. The positive influence he had on me is immense. Joe Gregory was responsible for me being able to attend my first NASCAR race. MANY years ago he called one day and invited me..AND my wife and daughter to go with him and a number of business associates. I could NOT believe it was happening. He and the engineering firm he was associated with had booked one of the luxury penthouses in turn 1 and 2. I remember during a caution period..I saw Joe outside with some of his friends outside on the patio. JOE was wearing this cool stetson cowboy hat and some boots and was smoking a big cigar. I looked at him and thought he was the coolest guy on earth...they were laughing and carrying on..and that Joe Gregory smile and laugh. Knowing Joe was a big deal...for Joe to know YOU..was a bigger deal!
