Johnny Strickland

Erwin, NC:  Mr. Johnny Mack Strickland, age 67, of 900 Country Spring Lane, passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at his home.  A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, May 9, 2020 at Grace Chapel Church, 1359 Red Hill Church Road, Dunn, NC 28334.  Pastor Gabriel Landis and associate pastor Raeford McLoud will officiate. Mr. Strickland was born on May 10, 1952 in Harnett County to the late Mack Strickland, Jr. and Agnes Imogene Avery Byrd. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers, Roger Dale Giles and Rondey Maylon Giles. He worked as an electrician at Good Year Tire and was a member of Grace Chapel Church in Dunn. Survivors include his wife of 11 years, Brenda Virtue Strickland of Erwin; children, Anthony Strickland and Lisa Grossman and husband, James all of Coats; grandchildren, Olivia Ward, Raelynn Strickland, Tiana Grossman, Cierra Strickland, Sean Strickland, Lea Grossman, and Austin Ward; and siblings, Brenda Newsome and husband, Garry, Larry Benson and wife, Betty, Gary Benson, Faye Stewart, and Gay Pavrett.
