Clayton, NC: Mr. John “Johnny” Cutler Murray, age 21, passed away unexpectedly after a motorcycle accident on Saturday, June 13, 2026. The family will receive friends from 3:00PM to 3:45PM on Sunday, June 28, 2026 at White Oak Baptist Church in Clayton. Memorial Services will be 4:00PM on Sunday, June 28, 2026 at White Oak Baptist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Bryant Wilson.

Johnny was born in Rockingham County, VA on July 6, 2004, to Joel (deceased) and Carol Murray. He was also was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Russell and Rebecca Murray. Johnny was the youngest of four siblings which include two sisters, Rebecca (Becky) Murray, and Sierra Klaiber (Dave), and a brother, Christopher Kirkland.

Johnny loved God and was a member of White Oak Baptist Church. He enjoyed participating in the youth group activities and projects over the years. He spent time with his friends fishing, camping, kayaking, surfing and a passion for disc golf. Johnny loved to travel around our country and to other countries. He was planning to visit Spain during this year.

He is survived by his mother, brother, sisters, nephew and nieces, uncles, aunts, and cousins and will be deeply missed and will always be loved by us all.

The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to the White Oak Baptist Church Youth Fund, 13943 Buffalo Road Clayton, NC 27527 and the Go Fund Me Page for Johnny.
