John Quincey Adams

Mr. John Quincey Adams, age 87, of Havelock, NC, passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at Carolina East Medical Center in New Bern, NC:  Mr. Adams’ wishes were for services not to be held. Burial will be held at Banner Chapel Advent Christian Church, Benson, NC.

Mr. Adams was born on March 30, 1936 in Harnett County, NC, to the late Vine Hawkins and Lillie Parker Adams.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Eloise Tart Adams, sons, Kevin David Adams and John Curtis Adams, and sisters, Matha Pope, Verna Mae Adams, and Malissa Adams.  Mr. Adams was the owner and operator Bayside Restaurant in Havelock, NC, and was also a butcher.

Survivors include his daughter, Kathy Adams Mitchell and husband, Larry; grandchildren, Kimberly Parker Bailliard, Kelley Melissa Parker and Quincey Adams; great-grandchildren, Luc Bailliard, Claire Bailliard; many nieces and nephews.
